Margarita

The most popular tequila cocktail of all — citrusy and refreshing, with bright agave notes and a whisper of lemon zest.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) 1921 Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Orange liqueur
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Simple syrup
  • Salt, for the rim

Method

  1. Blend all liquid ingredients.
  2. Add ice and blend to a frozen consistency.
  3. Salt the rim of the glass.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the glass for volume.
GarnishPerfume with lemon zest.

Born on the cobbled streets of Tequila, Jalisco — a simple, refreshing mix with a bubbly texture and a salty touch. Made for good company.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) 1921 Tequila Reposado
  • ¾ oz (20 ml) Fresh lime juice
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Grapefruit soda
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Fill a glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the tequila and lime juice.
  3. Stir with a spoon.
  4. Top with grapefruit soda and add a pinch of salt.
GarnishA dehydrated grapefruit slice.
1921 Tequila Añejo

Bloody María

The cocktail for “the morning after” — a pleasant texture with a spiced, revitalizing kick built on aged tequila.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) 1921 Tequila Añejo
  • 2 oz (60 ml) Carrot juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Celery bitters
  • Pinch of herb salt

Method

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  2. Add the ingredients to a shaker and shake vigorously.
  3. Double-strain into the glass.
  4. Add a pinch of herb salt.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) 1921 Tequila Cream
  • ¾ oz (20 ml) Coffee liqueur
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Orange bitters
  • Grated chocolate

Method

  1. Add the liquid ingredients to a shaker and shake vigorously.
  2. Chill a glass with ice, then discard the ice.
  3. Pour the mixture into the glass.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) 1921 Tequila Cream
  • ⅓ oz (10 ml) Herbal liqueur
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Natural yogurt
  • Grated ginger
  • Nutmeg

Method

  1. Chill a glass and discard the ice.
  2. Combine the cream, yogurt and liqueur in a shaker.
  3. Shake vigorously and strain into the glass.
  4. Finish with a line of grated ginger.

Method

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the tequila and pineapple juice.
  3. Stir with a spoon.
  4. Add the grenadine gently, without mixing.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz (30 ml) 1921 Tequila Añejo
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Campari
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Sweet vermouth
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Café de Olla concentrate, cooled
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice.
  2. Stir for 25–30 seconds, until well chilled.
  3. Strain into a rocks glass over a single large ice cube.
  4. Express an orange peel over the surface and drop it in.

Bright, herbal, and built for sun. Pure agave character, lifted by fresh citrus and a whisper of agave nectar.

Glass · Highball · crushed ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) 1921 Tequila Blanco
  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Fresh grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Agave syrup
  • 1 dash herbal bitters
  • Soda water, to top

Method

  1. Add tequila, juices, agave syrup and bitters to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake briefly — 8 to 10 seconds.
  3. Strain into a highball glass over fresh crushed ice.
  4. Top with soda water and stir gently to combine.
GarnishGrapefruit twist and a sprig of fresh thyme.
