1921 Tequila Blanco

Tequincello

Herbal, citrusy and light, topped with green tea soda.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) 1921 Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Lemongrass vinegar
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz (60 ml) Green tea soda
  • Yellow lemon peel

Method

  1. Combine tequila, lemongrass vinegar and lime juice in a shaker.
  2. Shake vigorously.
  3. Fill a glass with ice and pour the mixture over it.
  4. Top with green tea soda.
  5. Express the lemon peel oils over the drink.
GarnishA green leaf or an orange slice.
1921 Tequila Reposado

Tequitiki

Tropical and spiced — tiki style, with pineapple and red pepper.

Glass · Tiki glass · ice

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) 1921 Tequila Reposado
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Italian amaro
  • 2 oz (60 ml) Pineapple juice
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Red pepper syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Method

  1. Add all liquid ingredients to a shaker.
  2. Shake vigorously.
  3. Fill a tiki glass with ice.
  4. Strain the mixture into the glass.
GarnishRed pepper strips, a mint sprig and a natural straw.
1921 Tequila Añejo

Mula de Jalisco

Mule style: refreshing and citrusy, with the character of ginger.

Glass · Highball · crushed ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) 1921 Tequila Añejo
  • ⅓ oz (10 ml) Fresh lime juice
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Ginger beer

Method

  1. Fill a glass with crushed ice.
  2. Add the tequila and lime juice.
  3. Stir with a bar spoon.
  4. Top with ginger beer.
GarnishDehydrated lime slices and a rosemary sprig.
1921 Tequila Cream

Café Ranchero

The Cream over hot coffee with cinnamon and clove — coffee front and center.

Glass · Coffee cup

Ingredients

  • 1 oz (30 ml) 1921 Tequila Cream
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Brewed coffee
  • Pinch of cinnamon and clove

Method

  1. Pour the coffee into a cup.
  2. Add the tequila cream at room temperature.
  3. Stir with a bar spoon.
  4. Dust with cinnamon and clove.
GarnishA dusting of cinnamon.
1921 Tequila Cream

Tequilatte

A liquid dessert — creamy and smooth, with almond milk.

Glass · Rocks · ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) 1921 Tequila Cream
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Almond milk
  • 1 whole almond
  • Almond powder

Method

  1. Fill a glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the tequila cream.
  3. Add the almond milk.
  4. Stir gently.
GarnishA whole almond and a dusting of almond powder.
Maria Bonita Mezcal

MB Paloma

Citrus-forward and sparkling — grapefruit and lime play against the gentle smoke of artisanal mezcal.

Glass · Highball · sea-salt rim

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Maria Bonita Mezcal
  • 3.5 oz (105 ml) Grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Lime juice
  • Tonic water, to top
  • Sea salt, for the rim

Method

  1. Rim the glass with sea salt.
  2. Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  3. Pour in the mezcal, grapefruit juice and lime juice.
  4. Stir with a bar spoon.
  5. Top with tonic water.
GarnishA grapefruit slice.
Maria Bonita Mezcal

Mezcal Mule

Mule-style and thoroughly refreshing — ginger and citrus over mezcal, served in a frosted copper mug.

Glass · Copper mug · crushed ice

Ingredients

  • 1.6 oz (48 ml) Maria Bonita Mezcal
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Ginger beer
  • 0.7 oz (21 ml) Fresh lime juice
  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Simple syrup

Method

  1. Add ice, simple syrup, mezcal and lime juice to a shaker.
  2. Shake vigorously.
  3. Strain into a copper mug filled with crushed ice.
  4. Add the ginger beer.
  5. Stir.
GarnishA lime wheel and a mint sprig.
Maria Bonita Mezcal

Viento Mojito

A mezcal mojito — fresh mint, bright citrus and sparkling water over the soft smoke of agave.

Glass · Highball · ice

Ingredients

  • 1.6 oz (48 ml) Maria Bonita Mezcal
  • 0.8 oz (24 ml) Simple syrup
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Lime juice
  • 8–10 Mint leaves
  • Sparkling mineral water, to top

Method

  1. In a highball glass, muddle the mint with the simple syrup and lime juice.
  2. Fill the glass with ice.
  3. Pour in the Maria Bonita Mezcal.
  4. Top with sparkling mineral water.
GarnishA sprig of fresh mint.
Maria Bonita Mezcal

Mezcal Fusion

Tropical and generous — pineapple and orange melt into artisanal mezcal, served over ice.

Glass · Old fashioned · ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Maria Bonita Mezcal
  • 2 oz (60 ml) Orange juice
  • 4 oz (120 ml) Pineapple juice
  • 0.6 oz (18 ml) Lime juice

Method

  1. Combine the pineapple juice, lime juice, orange juice and mezcal in a shaker.
  2. Add ice to taste.
  3. Shake well.
  4. Serve in an old fashioned glass.
GarnishA pineapple wedge.
Maria Bonita Mezcal

Passion MB

Exotic and citrus-driven — passion fruit and lime over the gentle smoke of artisanal mezcal.

Glass · Rocks · ice

Ingredients

  • 1.6 oz (48 ml) Maria Bonita Mezcal
  • 0.6 oz (18 ml) Passion fruit concentrate
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Lime juice

Method

  1. Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Pour straight into the glass, using the ice from the shaker.
  4. Add extra crushed ice if you prefer.
GarnishMint leaves, or a dehydrated lime wheel.
